Here is an easy method to determine how much sod you will need. Multiply the length of the area by the width of the area and this will give you the total square footage of sod needed. If you have a free form area, divide it into sections of squares and triangles. Use the same formula for each of the sections and add them together. This will give you the best approximate square footage of the entire area. Please note our sod is delivered in 10 square foot rolls that are 24" wide by 60" long. Soil thickness is approximately 1/2" plus top growth.
