Palmetto is our best solution for shady conditions, yet it also thrives in full sunlight. Palmetto has a
wide, soft leaf and an attractive bright green color.
Palmetto should have at least 4 hours of sunlight for optimum health. In areas with minimal sunlight Palmetto should be mowed above 2 inches. Palmetto should not be overseeded in winter. Sun or shade, Palmetto

Midiron is the most popular variety in Arizona for many good reasons. Not only does it thrive in our sunny, warm climate, it's also extremely durable. Midiron is great for high traffic areas as it repairs itself more quickly than any other variety. Midiron is also the easiest variety to care for. Tifway is the most durable of all our varieties. Tifway, or sometimes referred to as 419, is used on more professional sports fields than any other grass. Tifway has a fine texture and a dark green color. Tifway requires slightly more maintenance, but it's drought tolerance and good looks make it a great choice for Arizona. Whether you want to build your own golf course, or just want your back yard to look like one, Tifway is sure to please!

Tifgreen, often referred to as 328, was originally developed for use on golf course greens and is the best choice if you prefer the most highly manicured appearance possible and you are able to provide extra care for your lawn. Tifgreen has a very fine texture and a bright green color. A sharp reel mower must be used for best results. Remember, Tifgreen will require the greatest amount of maintenance, but it will pay off when your lawn is the envy of the neighborhood!
